Veterans should enroll in VA health care program

It can be very costly for a veteran to not be enrolled in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs health care program.

I recently met the daughter of a Vietnam veteran who was mourning the death of her father to a cancer the VA presumes to be caused by exposure to Agent Orange. Her father was not enrolled in the VA system and left the family with significant medical bills. If her father had been enrolled with the VA, his medical treatment would have been provided by the VA, saving his family thousands.

It disappoints me when I talk to veterans and they have failed to enroll in the VA system for they have, through their service, earned the benefits offered by the VA for them and their families.
