Family Endeavors Awarded $1 Million Grant to Serve Veterans

San Antonio, TX – Family Endeavors is pleased to announce a $1 million grant award from the Department of Veteran Affairs as part of the new Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. Family Endeavors is one of 85 non-profit agencies nationwide and the only local organization awarded these funds that will provide comprehensive supportive services to Veterans and their families that are at-risk of homelessness.
These supportive services include outreach, case management, help in obtaining VA benefits, and assistance in obtaining and coordinating other public benefits. Family Endeavors will also have the ability to help qualified Veterans and their families temporarily cover rent payments, utility payments, deposits and moving costs. 
“Family Endeavors is honored to be a part of the Department of Veteran Affairs’ SSVF program,” stated CEO Travis Pearson, “Our program will provide the resources to act before our Veterans and families become homeless and will be the bridge for Veterans to attain permanent housing and provide stability to themselves and their families.”
